Sean Bieri has been (sporadically) making mini-comics since meeting Matt Feazell and Matt Madden in 1990, but his first full-length comic was a Mad-style Star Wars parody drawn when he was in 5th grade. He works as the art director, illustrator and occasional comics reviewer for Detroit's free weekly paper, Metro Times. Inspired by NYC illustrator Molly Crabapple, he organizes the local Dr. Sketchy life drawing sessions, and is a founding member, with Feazell, cartoonist Suzanne Baumann and others, of the local arts collective Hatch. He lives with his wife Sophia Raptis and a porchful of cats in the small, strangely named and strangely cartoonist-rich city of Hamtramck, Michigan.
